The review from my personal blog over on LiveJournal:
Morrissey
Orpheum Theater
Omaha, NE
11 May 2007
Morrissey changed my life last night. In a good way. Well, in a non-sexual way.
First time seeing him in person (only really got into the Smiths three or four years ago, and this was his first-ever stop in Omaha) and fuck was it ever worth the wait.
Set was I want to say 95 minutes; majority of it was songs off the newest album, but a lot of his older solo stuff and several Smiths songs; "The Queen Is Dead," "Panic," "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side," "How Soon Is Now?", etc..
There was probably seven or eight stage invasions at the end, but you had to be an idiot not to have seen it coming a mile away with security being as fairly lax as it was. One of them was actually kinda nice, though; some woman came up on stage, and Moz asked if they'd bring her daughter (8, maybe 10 years old) up on stage, and he held her in his arms for a minute or so. Really good to see him recognizing the youth that keep (and will keep) his legend going like that.
Best concert I've ever been to by miles. The setlist (if I remember the order correctly):
1.) The Queen Is Dead
2.) First Of The Gang To Die
3.) The Youngest Was The Most Loved
4.) You Have Killed Me
5.) Disappointed
6.) Panic
7.) Let Me Kiss You
8.) I Just Want To See The Boy Happy
9.) I Will See You In Far Off Places
10.) The National Front Disco
11.) I've Changed My Plea To Guilty
12.) The Boy With The Thorn In His Side
13.) Irish Blood, English Heart
14.) All You Need Is Me (he said this was a new one)
15.) At Last I Am Born
16.) In The Future When All's Well
17.) Ganglord
18.) Life Is A Pigsty
19.) How Soon Is Now?
